Wanton Taco Appetizer and Christmas Party Ideas

We got our tree up!  We went with a 9ft Fraser this year.  It was a lot to decorate, but it looks great!

I hosted an ugly sweater Christmas party this past weekend.  FUN!  We  played games and did a grab bag gift exchange. Everyone did a really great job shopping.  I provided lots of good eats.  One of the faves were these wanton tacos.  They are super easy to make.

Ingredients:
  • 1lb ground beef
  • 1 packet of taco seasoning
  • Wanton wrappers
  • Shredded cheese

Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven for 350 degrees.
  • Prepare your taco meat according to the taco seasoning packet.
  • Place your wanton wrappers into a cup cake pan.
  • Spoon taco meat into each wanton.
  • Sprinkle cheese over the meat.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes.
Adding a dollop of sour cream and a few chile pepper slices would be good too.

Enjoy!

Here are some ideas from my party:

I had everyone make up an elf name for themselves and I gave out naughty Santa pins as party favors. I used gift tags as name tags.  They didn't seem to stick well though.

I also made a photo booth wall for funny pictures.  I just used some wrapping paper and some paper snow flakes as a back drop and had a box of props.

The pictures turned out really cute!

I hope everyone else is enjoying the holidays too!  I will be back with another appetizer recipe soon.

You could maybe put some of your bottle rocks in there too! If you make it you have to post pics so we can all see!
