I got yet another diagnosis to add to my list. This one stems from the mixed connective tissue disease processes in my body. It is what causes my knee problems and hip problems. Its called illiotibial band syndrome. Basically it means this band of muscles in my legs is too tight and it pulls everything wrong. My knee caps flop all over from it. I had to quit physical therapy, because the insurance restarts my deductible on January 1st. I still have much work to do on my own at home though. What fun! :P My foot is still in need of exercises too. It will take quite some time before that is 100% again. The Achilles tendon, that was lengthen during surgery, is where the pain still is. It has several knots of scar tissue in it. I am trying to break that up. The heel bone and side where the bad tendon came out are doing pretty well.
Tired of living in pain (usually at least a level 6 on the 10 scale), having surgeries, and being physically disabled, but I have no choice. I just deal with it and do what I can to be "normal." One perk is the handicap parking. It helps me out a lot!
Thank you to all who support me and care for me! <3

Wow didn't realize things were that complicated. Also didn't know you had a blog until I saw the post on FB. I need to do some updating on mine.
ReplyDeleteYes, having a disabled placard is a nice perk, but you'll probably agree with me that you'd gladly give it up if you didn't have to go through what you have in order to get it. I have mind due to being half blind & depth perception issues. The depth issue has caused me to fall, trip, etc. I keep doing that and I'll need a wheelchair. I drive and to be honest,it's safer than walking, especially in the loop. Other than not not having anyone park next to me on the right the doctor wanted me to have the placard so I wouldn't fall in the parking lot parked so far away. I would much rather have the sight in my right eye back.
Yeah, I have a gigantic list of diseases and conditions. Sorry about your eyes! Good thing you are still allowed to drive. I have friends in Florida who are blind. We are visiting them in February. They amaze me with what they can do despite having no sight. I could use more followers on here, so if you get yours going again let me know!
