Apple & Sage Pork Chops

I love the McCormick spice packages, with recipes.  They give you the premeasured spices you need and then the recipe on the back.   I buy these spice packs at Walmart.
  Ingredients:
Spices that came in pack:  1 1/2 tsp rubbed sage, 1 tsp minced garlic, 1 tsp thyme leaves, 1/2 tsp ground allspice, and 1/2 tsp paprika.

1 TBSP flour
1 tsp salt
4 boneless pork chops, 1 inch thick (about 1 1/4th lbs)
2 TBSP olive oil
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
2 red apples  (I used 1 giant one), thinly sliced
1/2 cup apple juice
1 TBSP brown sugar

Instructions:
  • Mix flour, all of the spices, and salt in a bowl.  Sprinkle both sides of pork chops with 1 tsp of the seasoned flour.

  • Cook pork chops, in hot oil, in a large skillet on medium-high heat until browned on both sides.  Remove from skillet. Add onion; cook and stir 3 minutes or until tender.  Add apples; cook and stir 2 minutes.

  • Stir in the juice, sugar, and remaining seasoned flour, until it is well mixed.  Return pork chops to skillet.  Bring to a boil.  Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer for 5 minutes or until meat is cooked through.

I got the corn at our local farmer's market.  We enjoyed this meal outside on the patio.  Nothing like a beautiful summer night  and a good meal.
