We had an old tire in our garage that I have been wanting to use as a planter for the garden. I finally got around to finishing it! I did not plant directly in it, because I didn't want dirt on top of my mulch. I am going to try to find a pot that fits more snugly in it. I hope to plant my iris bulbs in it next year. For now, it just has my potted tropical plant in it.
All it takes is some spray pant to make it look more decorative. I chose gold, because it matched the bricks on the house well.
