As you know, from my previous post about my fall/winter wardrobe faves, I am addicted to scarves. I found another great trick on pinterest (shocking!). The idea is turning old T-shirts into scarves. The how-to instructions can be found in this tutorial. I had an old purple zebra shirt and a red shirt.
With the red shirt, I also added some lace trim loops to it. I had purchased a bunch of lace a few months ago. I was just waiting for the right project to use it.
I also did an all "vintage" lace scarf with some other lace I had purchased. I fell in love with a similar one I saw on Etsy, so I decided to make my own. I simply looped the 2 yard long piece several times and then secured it at the top with a lace bow.
I also had an old dress that doesn't fit any more (I graduated high school in it). I loved the vintage look of the fabric, so I made another scarf with it. My kitty wanted to help with this one.
This project was fun and CHEAP!
