Gouda Chicken

This is an easy way to make fancy BBQ chicken.  I like the creamy flavor of the Gouda mixed with the tangy BBQ sauce.

Ingredients:
  • Boneless chicken breasts
  • Gouda cheese slices
  • Dry BBQ spices
  • Your favorite BBQ sauce

Instructions:
  • Pre-heat grill or broiler
  • Cover both sides of your chicken breasts with the dry spice rub.
  • Cook the chicken for 2-3 minutes, on each side.
  • Brush on your BBQ sauce and continue cooking on each side, until your chicken is well-cooked (internal temperature of cooked chicken should be 165 degrees with no pink in the meat).
  • Place your Gouda cheese slices on top of each cooked breast and return it to the heat just until it is nicely melted on top.
  • You can add extra BBQ sauce on top of the cheese if you like.

I'm sure cooking this in the oven, at 375 degrees, for 30-40 minutes would work as well.  You just wont get the nice grilled flavor.  The fun of cooking is experimenting!   Enjoy.
