Stuffed Cornish Game Hens in the Crock Pot
Ingredients:
- 2 Cornish hens
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 can of chicken broth
- 1/4th of an onion minced
- A few dashes of country herbs (I have a pre-made mix that comes in a grinder/shaker)
- I also added some fresh chives from my herb garden
- Box of stuffing mix
Directions:
- Mix your mushroom soup, chicken broth, and herbs in a bowl, until it is a uniform consistency.
- Prepare your stuffing mix according to the box, then stuff it into your hens.
- Place your stuffed hens into the crock pot.
- Pour your soup mixture over the hens.
- Sprinkle your onion on top of and surrounding your hens.
- Cook your hens on LOW for 8 hours or on HIGH for 5-6 hours.
- I turned mine over about half way through cook time to ensure even cooking.
- Plate and spoon gravy over the hen.
Crock pot cooking these, in the sauce, renders them VERY tender! The meat will literally fall off the bones. Enjoy!
