Zesty Italian and Ranch Pork Chops

Some simple and flavorful pork chops for you!

Ingredients:

  • Pork chops
  • Ranch dressing in a bottle
  • 3 cups of Italian bread crumbs
  • Packet of dry Italian dressing mix
  • 1 tablespoon of garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons of real, grated Parmesan cheese ( I added more, because I am a cheese-o-holic)

Instructions:
  1.  Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Mix your dry ingredients (including cheese) to create the crust for your chops.  I hate wasting breading mixes by dipping meat into them.  I prevent having to throw out the leftover breading mix by keeping it in an old Parmesan cheese container (or another container with pour holes).  This way you can pour the breading onto the meat instead of contaminating the whole batch. I then just freeze the leftover for the next time I need it.

3. Squirt some Ranch dressing onto a plate, then dip both sides of your chops into it. Shake off or wipe off extra dressing (this will ensure your chops wont be soggy).

 4. Cover both sides of your chops, generously, with the breading mix.

5. Place your breaded chops on a pan with a wire rack in it, or on an oven rack with a drip pan underneath.  This cooking method helps to create the crispy texture, so that you are not left with soggy bottoms to your chops.

6. Cook them, at 400 degrees, until the internal temperature of your chops is 160 degrees (about 40-45 minutes).

Enjoy!
