I joined www.fightlikeagirlclub.com and received my membership package today (stickers, magnet, car decal, note pad, and membership card). I am going to order a t-shirt as well.
Fight like a girl club is a community of women (and their loved ones) who battle painful, debilitating, and life threatening diseases.
Fight Like a Girl Club-
"The Fight Like A Girl Club was formed to provide a welcoming place where women (men are welcome, too!) battling cancer and other diseases, survivors, and loved ones can come together to share stories, experiences, hope, and encouragement with one another, a place where you can come to relax and devote time to yourself, a place where you feel accepted and cared about, a place to soothe your soul with meditations, poems, and inspirational quotes, to release your fears and anxieties through sharing and writing, to put your problems on the back burner while playing games and puzzles, to request Prayer from others who truly care, a place to
CLAIM YOUR POWER !"
I think women have an inner strength that is unmatched and capable of amazing feats! We are often thought of as "the weaker sex", but I think society has it backwards! We not only fight these nasty diseases like warriors, but we also care for others and maintain our daily lives in the process. I have been through medical hell in the past 10+ years, but it has not stopped my ability to live. I push through unspeakable amount of pain every day and do my best to lead a "normal" life. I am grateful for these communities of woman, who are going through the same thing and understand me completely.
March is national endometriosis awareness month, so I have been supporting that cause by wearing yellow and spreading awareness. Fight Like a Girl is helping us promote this awareness. This is one of the many diseases that has drastically affected my life. To learn more, check out the nation forum site for endo.
If you or a woman you know suffers from a debilitating disease, come join the fight with us! You can also find Fight Like a Girl on facebook. You can also click the badge on my blog to be taken to the website. God bless all of the other woman in this fight!
