Sour Cream Chicken

Here is another easy meal.  This one originally came from www.makinglifedelicious.com  as "Oma's Sour Cream Chicken" and was posted on pinterest.  I like to to give credit, where credit is due.

Ingredients:
  • Chicken breasts
  • Sour Cream
  • Herb Stuffing mix (the original calls for name brand Pepperidge Farm crumbles, but I used an off brand with success).
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Garlic Powder
  • Unsalted butter, cubed
Directions:
  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Lay the chicken breasts close together on a foil lined baking pan.
  3. Sprinkle the chicken with your salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  4. Coat the chicken with a thick layer of sour cream.
  5. Sprinkle the dry stuffing mix onto the sour cream and then dot with butter.
  6. Bake at 375 degrees for about 1 hour.  It will be ready when the chicken is cooked through and the bread crumbs are nicely browned.

I went ahead and prepared the rest of the stuffing mix as a side dish.  I hate wasting food!  It was a very tasty meal.
