New Additions:
Purple and Pink Violets
Aloe Vera and several other succulents.
I got a lot of succulents, because they are so easy to care for and can be planted in the very creative ways. I will do a separate blog for them later on. I am still working on a project with a couple of them.
Shamrocks!
More Lucky Bamboo
My indoor garden is limited to a table, in my kitchen, that sits in front of the only southern exposure windows I have in the house. I also supplement it with a UV lighting system for the plants that need more sun than we get here in Chicago. My table was full, but I re-purposed some items from my garage to maximize the space. I am starting to expand on the vertical space in front of the windows.
Garden Before Makeover:
I re-purposed an old chair, a small side table, a serving tray, and a bird bath to add space.
After Makeover:
Underneath the table, I have storage space for my gardening tools, gardening books, and extra water for our water cooler.
The large tropical plant, that took up too much tabletop space, was moved to the re-purposed chair.
The old bird bath was used as a planter for some of my new succulents.
The serving tray made an extra shelf at the bottom of the table for my smaller plants.
I love my new space! I will be posting something more about succulents when I get a chance to finish planting all of mine. The boyfriend had surgery, so I will be more busy than normal for a couple weeks. Cya later!
